A new species for Kazakhstan. The habitat of Phylloscopus lorenzii covers Turkey, the Caucasus, Transcaucasia and northern Iran.

First record for Bali.

First record in Sorbulak during recent 10 years. Rarely observed in winter time in Sorbulak. Previously was observed at 2002, October 20 and 27 (1 male in winter plumage), and December 15 (female); at 2003, February 02 (1 female in channel); at 2004, December 12 (4 birds), December 19 (3 birds); at 2005 January 23 (1 bird); at 2010 October 24 (1 bird) (Belyalov, Karpov, 2012).

Rare record for Mangyshlak peninsula. Previously the following records are known: June 1-2 1888 in area of Sherkala mountain and Akmysh well, May 06, 1947 in vicinity of Fort-Shevchenko, May 07, 1964 in Danga, May 17, 2009 near Kaundy depression, and May 09, 2017 in the square of Aktau city.

That was the fourth record of this species for Semirechye and the third for the Sorbulak system.

The rare record of wintering of the White-crowned Penduline Tit

This is the first photographic record at lake Yazevoye (Listvaga mountain range). In July 2006 two broods each of brown and red-backed shrikes (Chelyshev, Nagibina, 2007). In Kazakhstan brown shrike has also been noted for Western Altay (Kuzmina, 1948; Sherbakov 1986) and Markakol Lake Depression (Berezovikov, 1989).

The first meeting on the Sorbulak lake. Two birds were observed on the west side of the lake near the dam. Nearest famous meeting occurred in the lower reaches of the Ili river on June 24 (I.A. Dolgushin, 1962) and in Karachengil hunting farm on July 21 and 23 2006 (I.A. Bevza, 2007).

This is the first record of the sociable lapwing in the Sorbulak lake system over more than 50-years of ornithological observations in this area. There are irregular records close to this location. On river Kaskelen (by Shnitnikov, 1949), Itzhon plateau, right-side bank of Ile river (Dolgushin, 1962) and at the edge of the Taukun desert in Kanshengel (Berezovikov et al., 1999). Two broods have been recorded in Kanshengel on June 21, 2003 (Belyalov, Karpov, 2004).

Earlier breeding of Ibisbill only supposed in this region, but until now there was no significant findings.

Rare bird. Previous known meeting on Sorbulak was 16 years ago - May 19, 1997 (Belyalov, Karpov - Selevinia, 2012, pp. 82-108)

Single Red-throated Thrush was recorded by Gennady Dyakin at January 19, 2013 in mixed flock of different birds feeding on the russian olive thickets in valley of Ile river near Akbastau village (Almaty oblast).

January 1, 2012, near Cosmostation (BAO) Gennady Dyakin and Andrei Kovalenko recorded three birds feeding on the thawed slope.
